A Note From Our Principal,
Summer is in full swing and we are having a great time teaching and learning with our students! This month we are celebrating Independence Day and campers are jumping into action, playing games, exploring nature, being creative, and participating in other fun summer-themed activities. We will be doing cool photography projects, tie-dying shirts, learning about fire safety, creating art from recycling crayons, and enjoying silly magic and juggling shows! We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer holds for us.
I have been so impressed by how well our children have adopted our new social distancing and health procedures. They are truly amazing, and I am so proud of them all.
We will be closed Friday, July 3rd to celebrate Independence Day, and hope you all enjoy a nice long weekend with family and friends!
July Reminders
- Please send your child to school in their new tie-dye t-shirts on Wednesday, July 8th, so we can see all their masterpieces! We will be sure to send a lot of photos out through Links 2 Home.
- We will be doing a community service project with Lurie Children’s Hospital in mid-July. Stay tuned for more info.
- Please return all outstanding paperwork in order to complete your child’s file.
- Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen– before you drop your children off!
- Remember, sprinkler days are every Thursday! Make sure to send your child in his/her bathing suits, with a towel and change of clothes.
- If you have a vacation planned, and want to use your one-week credit, please email us at least two weeks before your time off is scheduled. We can’t apply any credits without a two-week notice.
Make it a great month!
Sincerely,
Lisa Fawver, Principal
