Dear Families,
The holiday season is officially here and our students are beginning to learn all about different holidays that are celebrated around the world. It’s also a time that we enjoy giving back as a school!
As you know, our annual Jingle Bell Jam will be held on Friday, December 13th at the Denver United Methodist Church. Please drop your child off with their teachers, at the church, no later than 6:15. As we have done in previous years, in lieu of purchasing tickets, we will be asking our families to make a donation to Make A Wish. We will send out the link for donations this week. We are encouraging families to donate $2 per person that will attend the Jingle Bell Jam.
This month we will be having a holiday spirit week the week of the 16th and holiday parties will be held that week as well (please look for more info on your child’s daily sheets). We have put sign up sheets on your child’s classroom door for anticipated attendance during the week of Christmas and New Year’s week. We will be closed on December 25th and January 1st.
With winter approaching, we would like to remind you to check your child’s cubby to ensure they have an extra set of weather appropriate clothes. Students also need to come to school each day with a jacket and dressed warm enough to play outside for part of the day. If the weather is brisk, we still go outside for active games and SPARK activities and want everyone to be able to participate!
We also want to remind you that we do not always follow the closure schedule of the local public schools. Our goal is to be open as many days as possible to support our working parents. If we must close because our teachers cannot safely get to work, you will receive a notification via Links 2 Home as soon as the closure is announced. We also post notifications on our website and Facebook page.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lindsey DeLair
Mrs. Kristie Salmon
