From the Office of the Principal
It seems like September flew by! The air is still not quite cool yet, but hopefully some true October weather will be here soon! We have many exciting events happening in the month of October, but first let’s recap what we did in September. We all kicked off September with the Labor Day weekend. The academic year officially kicked off during the month of September as well, meaning that the Links to Learning curriculum is now being implemented in full in your child’s classroom. We took Lifetouch Fall Portraits, and all of the children’s photos came back great! We also held our Scholastic Book Fair, which was a huge success as well! We sold over $1,100 in books to families, which means we were able to receive $500 worth of books for our classrooms!
October is shaping up to be a busy month as well. We kicked off our Charleston Wrap fundraiser, so please make sure to go online to charlestonwrapstore.com (School ID# 12029) and make a purchase! This money will go directly to buying more supplies and equipment for our classrooms. We are excited to announce that we will have our Fall Festival on Friday, October 11 at 3:30 pm. Please be on the look-out for more information on our Fall Festival coming soon! We will also have Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 31, starting at 3:30 pm. If you are interested in decorating your trunk for Trunk or Treat, please let us know. Finally, Links to Learning folders go out on the last day of the month.
The fall season of our ancillary programs are now in full swing, and there are still spots left in them! The different programs to choose from are Soccer Shots (Wednesday mornings), Music for Little Ones (Tuesday afternoons), Shining Stars Drama/Theatre Program (Tuesday mornings), and Fit Kids (Thursday mornings). Please make sure to get brochures and sign-up forms for each program in the lobby if you are interested. Lastly, we have not had enough participation or interest in continuing Daisy Dance, but please let us know if you are interested in having your little one attend dance class, and we can try to get a big enough group to restart Daisy Dance!
As always, we will always be here to help you in any way possible if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you!
Kindest Regards,
William Gordon, Principal

Chesterbrook Academy Parent Referral Program
If there’s one thing parents love to do, it’s talk about their children’s successes. When friends ask you about your child’s experiences at Chesterbrook Academy, what type of success stories do you share? Do you mention the personal and educational discoveries your child is making thanks to our advanced curriculum? Do you talk about the new levels of self and social confidence your child has gained thanks to our encouraging atmosphere? Whatever glowing reports you deliver about how your child is growing with his or her education, we couldn’t be more appreciative. In fact, we’d like to show you just how thankful we are for your endorsements. Now when you tell other parents about our school, you can become a Chesterbrook Academy Ambassador.
For every new child you refer who enrolls at our school for three months, you’ll receive one FREE week of tuition for your child.
It’s our way of saying thanks for doing what comes naturally – singing the praises of your child and sharing your experiences with the Chesterbrook Academy difference. If you have any questions about how you can become a Chesterbrook Academy Ambassador, please contact an administrator.
