A Note From Our Principal,
Fall is in full swing and our students are enjoying the extra outdoor time, nature walks and seasonal curriculum activities. Our soccer, STEM, karate, ninjas, dance and gymnastics specialty programs are up and running, and we are enjoying watching our students learn and grow during these classes, which take place during rest time. We have several opportunities for parents to be involved this month, so check out the dates below. Also, we will begin planning for our annual holiday giving community support initiative soon, so stay tuned for more information! As always, please reach out if you have any questions or suggestions. Thanks for all your support in making this preschool a wonderful place for our children to learn, grow, and have fun with friends!
Sincerely,
Lisa Fawver
Fall Cubby Refresh
Our teachers have many fun outdoor activities planned for our students this month. Please check your child’s cubby and ensure that their extra set of clothes is weather appropriate so that your child can participate in everything planned for their class.
Your Opinion Matters!
Our parent survey is launching this week and we’d appreciate you spending a few minutes to take the survey. You will receive an invitation by email on 10/2. Please let us know if you do not receive it!
Halloween Door Decorating Contest
An annual favorite, our Halloween Door Decorating Contest will be underway this month. Each class will come up with a theme for their classroom door, and families will have an opportunity to vote on their favorites in several categories. Voting will take place the week of October 28th, and the winner will be announced on Friday, November 1st.
Halloween Festivities
- Trick-or-Trunk: We have 10 families signed up, and need at least 15 to make this event worthwhile. Parents decorate the trunks of their cars, which are backed into spaces along the curb out front. Children trick-or-treat from car to car, checking out everyone’s designs. This is a super-fun family event, and children get very excited to see all the cars. We will start at 3 pm on Halloween, and will have classroom parties right afterwards. Please let Lisa or Jen know if you want to participate.
- Classroom Halloween Parties: If we don’t have enough parents for Trick-or-Trunk, we will just do individual Halloween parties in each classroom at 3 pm. Teachers will ask parents to sign up to donate supplies. Again, I will send out reminders about which brands we can bring in to the school, due to our allergy issues.
- Children should bring their costumes to school (if they want to) and we will help them change at the end of rest time. They will Trick-or-Trunk (if applicable) and have their class parties in their costumes. If parents want to come for the fun and then pick them up for neighborhood trick-or-treating, they will be ready to go! If they don’t get picked up right away, we will just change them back to their regular clothing.
