Welcome July! Welcome Summer! Welcome back, Ms. Beth, Christopher, and Alijah! It is so nice to have you all back.
We are so excited to welcome the sunny month of July and all of the fun activities we have planned. The children are having so much fun getting wet and cooling off the teachers too during water play. We appreciate the great job our parents are doing remembering to bring in all of the supplies asked for and remembering to apply the first layer of sun protection each day. Thank you!
The children also enjoyed our Mad Scientist and Segal Puppet Show. The Senior Campers had a wonderful time at the Elmwood Zoo and learning about animal care. A special thank you to all of our parent chaperones who helped make the trip more fun and rewarding for all. We look forward to a visit from Judy Tudy on July 9th, Cool Beans Art and Music on the 18th, and a theater production of Tom Sawyer on July 30th. We will conduct our own version of Summer Camp Olympics during the week of July 22nd. I can’t wait to see what they will have to do to earn a ribbon! I have heard that there may be a game of catch-with water balloons involved!
School will be closed on Thursday, July 4th,to honor and celebrate our country’s independence; but we will be open on Friday, July 5th. If you will not be bringing your child in or will be dropping off late, please let us know so we can adjust teacher schedules to accommodate the time change and prepare the right number of lunches. Thank you!
On a side note, please remember when packing lunches or snacks that we are a peanut free school. If your child is packing a lunch for a field trip, try to avoid sandwiches with mayonnaise or other ingredients that may spoil quickly.
