Summer is in full swing and we are having a great time teaching and learning with our students! We love having elementary-aged campers here each day, and it’s been a joy to see them interact with our preschoolers in the halls and on occasional classroom visits. Many of our older students have been taking time away from camp activities to volunteer as story time readers, which helps them learn empathy and become more confident in their own reading skills. Young children are always captivated by children who are older than they are, and our preschoolers are benefiting from having so many excellent role models in the building this summer. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer holds for us!
Coconut Creek Chesterbrook is proud to be holding the Alex’s Lemonade Stand beginning Monday, July 15th. Our school age campers will be selling lemonade and lemon treats in the lobby all week. All proceeds are used to help find better treatments and cures for children with cancer. We will also have a donation jar in the lobby. Please help, there is no donation too small.
Sincerely,
Kim Hage
