A Note From Our Principal
For the past few months our teachers and camp counselors have been busy planning special activities to make this summer fun and memorable. This month marks the beginning of our Connect to Summer curriculum enhancement camp for our preschoolers, and our Summer of Discovery full-time camp program for our school-agers. These programs feature activities that support learning outcomes aligning with your child’s developmental level. Please keep an eye out for special communications about activities and events, and about how you can support your child’s learning at home. As always, we are here with any questions or concerns you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!
The end of the school year found us celebrating the Teachers, Parents and Students with our special weeks. A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported the Teacher Appreciation week. The teachers had some wonderful lunches, received many cute gifts and each received $25.00 in Gift Cards. Thank you for helping us show them how much we truly appreciate them.
As we get ready for Summer you will see many new faces around our school. Each year we hire and welcome back what we call “college staff”. Since colleges leave out earlier than the local schools, we have our summer camp counselors on board now getting acclimated with the school, receiving trainings, and assisting in the classrooms for experience. Please introduce yourself to the college staff and help us make them feel welcome.
Reminder – SUMMER CAMP ATTENDANCE SCHEDULES are needed for children entering Kindergarten – 6th grade. We are in the final stages of planning and publishing our Summer Camp Calendars.
Sincerely,
Donna Baus, Principal

We know that summer is a busy time for our families, and want to communicate school happenings as clearly as possible to ensure that no one is left out. Daily reports are sent via email each day, but our Links 2 Home app keeps all school communications in one place and is always accessible. The app also allows you to communicate absences to your child’s teacher, leave drop-off notes, and read teacher and administrative notes in detail. For our school-age families, using the Links 2 Home app is absolutely essential to ensuring you’re always in the know about field trips and other camp news.
If you’re not a current app user, we encourage you to visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the app today. You will need to login with the email address you use for Alma. Please let us know if you have issues logging into Links 2 Home!

Summer Cubby Clean-ups
Our students love spending time outdoors and we want to make sure we take ample advantage of the summer weather before it gets too hot. If your child is in the Toddler classroom and up, please make sure they have the following items at school at all times:
- Labeled bottle of sunscreen. If you send the aerosol kind, please send an additional cream version for your child’s face.
- Reusable water bottle with your child’s name on it
- Summer appropriate change of clothes and shoes if possible. Splash Days Summer of Discovery Camp Update! For children who utilize our pool on campus, please make sure they have a swimming suit and towel with them daily. If there is a time when the pool is not in use and a class missed their swim lessons or pool time, we will be going in the pool. From Our Education Department
- On field trip days, campers should arrive at school wearing their camp t-shirt with sunscreen already applied. Campers should have a reusable water bottle at camp each day. Closed toed, comfortable shoes are required for all field trips except those involving water.
- We officially kick off our school-age camp on June 10th and could not be more excited to spend the summer with our campers! Each school-age parent should have received a copy of our summer calendar listing all field trips and approximate departure and arrival times. Changes will be communicated through Links 2 Home.
- We have several water play days planned for our students this summer and can’t wait for your child to participate! On splash days we provide sprinklers, water toys, and water activities for our students. Children should come to school in their swimsuit (with swim diaper where applicable) and with a towel and a change of dry clothes.
