Happy Fall everybody! October will be a very busy month for us. We are starting our month with our monthly Fire Drill, then our Fall Pictures with LifeTouch coming up soon. We are celebrating Spanish Heritage month and the United Nations Day as well. Don’t miss our Family Pumpkin Night and our Fall Festival and Costume Parade with parties to follow.
Phew! What a busy month! Yes, we are closing our October month with our annual Costume Parade at 4:30 p.m. for all classrooms. We are looking forward to see all the fabulous costumes and watch the children have so much fun!
While October is a fun month, let’s all remember to keep ourselves safe. With darker mornings and evenings and the more inclement weather, please drive extra carefully in our parking lot. Let’s make sure to teach our children about stranger danger as it gets closer to trick or treating, and let’s make sure our children stay warm. Remember to change out your extra clothes in your child’s cubby so they are seasonally appropriate spare clothes. Layers are always good at this time of year as the temperature fluctuates.
I wanted to make a quick comment about our fundraiser programs. We will continue to offer fundraisers throughout the year, and you will have an opportunity to purchase everything from Yankee Candles to Little Caesar’s Pizza. Participation in these fundraisers is always optional. We love it when our families get involved and find an item (or two) to purchase, but parents can browse product catalogs and choose items that interest them. Please approach each fundraiser with an open mind, and feel free to choose items as desired. Just know that we are grateful for your participation.
As always, thank you for partnering with us for the academic growth and overall success of your child. It is our goal that they do their very best each and every day.
