As the saying goes, “A change is gonna come.” Fall is one of my favorite seasons because I love watching the children discover new things happening right before their eyes. They come in and talk about the cool and breezy weather, the new color of the leaves, and the way it’s getting darker at afternoon pick-up each day. From an educator’s perspective, fall is also the season that symbolizes a new beginning, as the school year has kicked off and gone into full swing. The rush of trying to transition into new routines is over, and now we can all settle down and really enjoy all there is to love about being in preschool!

ANCILLARY ACTIVITIES BEGIN
Week of October 1st
Our 2018-2018 ancillary activity programs all kick off this week! It’s not too late to sign your child up for the fun of one or more of these convenient add-ons to our standard preschool programs. Click here to learn more about this year’s offerings, or see the front desk for more information.
LIFETOUCH MAKE-UP PICTURE DAY
Monday, October 15th
If you child missed our Fall Picture Days or was too camera shy to get a good photo, today is your chance to try one more time! Our friends from Lifetouch will be on-site from 9:00am-12:00pm to take individual photos for all eligible children.
MISMATCH DAY
Thursday, October 18th
Who doesn’t love a chance to be a little silly? Show off your best mismatched outfit using various patterns, colors, shapes, and more! Take it even further with crazy hair!
VISIT FROM CHILDREN’S AUTHOR KENTRELL MARTIN
Tuesday, October 23rd
Kentrell Martin, author of the Shelly’s Adventures series, will visit our Intermediate and Pre-K students for a special storytelling event that introduces the children to American Sign Language. The children will explore basic signs as they learn of how the character Shelly’s navigates through her everyday life.
HALLOWEEN PARADE
Wednesday, October 31st
Join us at 3:30pm for our school-wide Halloween Parade! The children will march around the school premises to show off their Halloween costumes and kick off a fun afternoon of trick-or-treating! More details to come.
