From the Office of the Principal
It seems like September flew by! The air is still not quite cool yet, but hopefully some true October weather will be here soon! We have many exciting events happening in the month of October, but first let’s recap what we did in September. We all kicked off September with the Labor Day weekend. The academic year officially kicked off during the month of September as well, meaning that the Links to Learning curriculum is now being implemented in full in your child’s classroom. Our Charleston Wrap fundraiser was a huge success, and we sold over $1000 of Charleston Wrap products. This money went directly to buying more supplies and equipment for our classrooms. Thank you to everyone who participated! We took Lifetouch Fall Portraits, and all of the children’s photos came back great! Everyone’s portrait orders should be back any day now, and we will get them out as soon as they come in. We also held our Scholastic Book Fair, which was a huge success as well! We sold over $1,000 in books to families, which means we were able to receive $500 worth of books for our classrooms!
October is shaping up to be a busy month as well. We are so excited that our Little Caesar Pizza Kit Fundraising Event starts on Monday, October 8. We will be sending out more details on that soon! We would love for you to participate–money we receive from our fundraisers go directly to more supplies and equipment for the classrooms. We are excited to announce that we will have our Fall Festival on Friday, October 19. Please be on the look-out for more information on our Fall Festival coming soon! And don’t forget that Jersey Day is every Friday! Finally, Links to Learning folders go out on the last day of the month.
The fall season of our ancillary programs are now in full swing, and there are still spots left in them! The different programs to choose from are Soccer Shots (Wednesday mornings), Music for Little Ones (Monday afternoons), Shining Stars Drama/Theatre Program (Tuesday mornings), Daisy Dance (Monday mornings), and Fit Kids (Thursday mornings). Please make sure to get brochures and sign-up forms for each program in the lobby if you are interested.
As always, we will always be here to help you in any way possible if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you!
Kindest Regards,
William Gordon, Principal
