A Note From Our Principal
We had a wonderful summer but are thrilled to be kicking off a new school year with all of our families and students. Our teachers have been working hard all summer to ensure that this is a productive and fun year for each of our classrooms. To ensure that everyone is off to a great start, we’ve included some important reminders below. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Over the summer we had new security cameras added to our school and outdoor grounds. We have update the security sign in/out system and are currently in the transition of utilizing the new system and we have made great strides in working towards our NAEYC accreditation. The end is in sight for all of this hard work and transitions the teachers have been focused on over the past few months. In the upcoming weeks, we will be fully transitioned to our new sign in/out system, NAEYC accredited and a STAR 4 school.
When sign in/out on the Links to Home Ipad in the lobby a good rule of thumb is don’t touch the ipad unless your child(ren) are with you. Upon entering the lobby in the morning – put your code in prior to taking your child to the classroom. At the end of the night, don’t put your code in until you are leaving with your child. By signing your child in/out at the wrong times, it misleads the teachers on their ratios’ and child head counts. It has already lead a few of our teacher to believe a child was hiding or was left in the classroom or on the playground.
Thank you to the PTO representatives for a great end of year picnic. I believe everyone left with bellies full of hot dogs, hamburgers, and snacks! It was an event that was enjoyed by everyone!
Thank you for your patience as we have worked through setting up your Ipad codes. We understand that at times it was frustrating for you when the codes were not working properly. We have learned the problem and will hopefully be caught up soon with all the corrections. Please remember do not share your code with any other family members or pick up persons.
Sincerely,
Donna Baus, Principal
