Dear Parents,
We had a wonderful summer but are thrilled to be kicking off a new school year with all of our families and children. Our teachers have been working hard all summer to ensure that this is a productive and fun year for each of our classrooms. Our new building is coming together very nicely and we can’t wait to move before the New Year. To help make a smooth transition, we welcomed a new assistant principal, Miss Amanda, to our team. We are excited to have her and look forward to her as a new addition to our team.
To ensure that everyone is off to a great start, we have included some important reminders below.
Reminders:
* We are a peanut free school.
* If your child is sick, we will adhere to our sick policy.
* Please make sure to check your child’s cubby and/or mailbox for important information.
Holiday Closures:
Our school does not follow the local elementary school schedule as we are open more days each year. For the 2018-2019 school year the days we are closed are:
Labor Day
Election Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
New Year’s Day
President’s Day
Memorial Day

If you’re not currently receiving photos and daily reports for your child you can easily change this by downloading the Links 2 Home app on your phone. Just type ‘Links 2 Home’ in the search bar for the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After downloading Links 2 Home you can register with the same email address that you used to enroll your child in our school.
School Picture Day
It’s time to get spiffed up for fall pictures! Lifetouch will be taking photos of all of our students on September 10th. Please send you child to school in the clothes you want them to wear for their photo. All photos will be taken before lunch and naptime to ensure optimal cuteness.
I hope you have a fun and safe month!
Sincerely,
Michele Somishka
