From the Office of the Principal
Summer is in full swing here at Chesterbrook Academy! June was such a busy month, but we are looking forward to a very busy July as well. June 11 marked the first week of summer camp for everyone. The preschoolers have enjoyed a visit from Hightouch Hightech to do science experiments, Water Play Day, Kona Ice Fridays, Shining Stars theatre classes, and much more! The school-agers have enjoyed field trips to the Sports Connection, Big Air Trampoline Park, Crooked Creek Park, Metrolina Recycling Center, Discovery Place Science, and Cici’s Pizza! We hope all of our Dads had a wonderful, fun, and relaxing Father’s Day this past month. We also enjoyed our Summer season of Soccer Shots on Wednesday mornings. Finally, we held our PreK Graduation on Wednesday, June 13. We graduated 23 PreK students, and we are confident that they are prepared to go to Kindergarten!
July is shaping up to be a busy month as well. First off, we will be closed on Wednesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday. We will have plenty of activities for the children during the month of July! The preschoolers will enjoy Water Play days, Bricks 4 Kidz, more Hightouch Hightech science experiments, Kona Ice Fridays, Chocolate Bar in a Car, and a visit from Officer Rubino with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department! The school-agers will get to go on field trips to the Extreme Ice, Atomz Lab, Crooked Creek Park, Creative Kids Mary Poppins Jr. Theatre Show, Movie Day at Regal Cinemas at Stonecrest, Mecklenburg County Library, Cici’s Pizza, and Kate’s Skating! Finally, Links to Learning folders go home on Tuesday, July 31. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about any of these events or field trips.
As always, we will always be here to help you in any way possible if you have any questions or concerns.
Kindest Regards,
William Gordon, Principal

Chesterbrook Academy Parent Referral Program
If there’s one thing parents love to do, it’s talk about their children’s successes. When friends ask you about your child’s experiences at Chesterbrook Academy, what type of success stories do you share? Do you mention the personal and educational discoveries your child is making thanks to our advanced curriculum? Do you talk about the new levels of self and social confidence your child has gained thanks to our encouraging atmosphere? Whatever glowing reports you deliver about how your child is growing with his or her education, we couldn’t be more appreciative. In fact, we’d like to show you just how thankful we are for your endorsements. Now when you tell other parents about our school, you can become a Chesterbrook Academy Ambassador.
For every new child you refer who enrolls at our school for three months, you’ll receive one FREE week of tuition for your child.
It’s our way of saying thanks for doing what comes naturally – singing the praises of your child and sharing your experiences with the Chesterbrook Academy difference. If you have any questions about how you can become a Chesterbrook Academy Ambassador, please contact an administrator.
