Hope you are enjoying the first few weeks of summer break! Summer camp is upon us and we are off to a good start. Our older campers have enjoyed trips to The Morris Arboretum and The Philadelphia Art Museum and the younger campers have enjoyed nothing but sunshine for their splash days. So far, so good I’d say! We will keep them busy this summer that is for sure. (And maybe tire them out a bit so they rest easily at night.)
This July we will be collecting food for the South Jersey Food Bank. Our students chose this project because during the holidays many food collections happen, which of course is wonderful! However, during the summer months food bank supplies often go down so we thought what a better time to help?? We are having a little competition between our classrooms to see which one can collect the most items of food. We will have a special party for them when our collection is over. If you need any suggestions on food or have any questions about the collection, please feel free to stop by the front desk.
Please remember to label all of your child’s belongings. Since its summer and we have splash days and swimming etc. children are bringing a lot more “gear” into school. I just want to make sure that we limit any lost items and if a family takes something home by accident they are easily able to tell who it belongs to and get it back to the appropriate child.
I wanted to take a quick moment to remind everyone of our Parent Referral Program. If you refer a family to Chesterbrook and the family enrolls their child you could receive a credit towards tuition. If the child enrolls full time you will receive a free week of tuition, for a part time enrollment you will receive a $100 credit towards weekly tuition. What an easy way for you to save money!! Please come see the front desk for more information.
