Hello Families!
I have enjoyed my first month here at Chesterbrook Academy. It has been super rewarding, challenging and exciting. I look forward to a wonderful spring full of learning, growing and fun for all!
We loved celebrating Week of the Young Child and Earth Day with our students and families! Our classrooms spent the week leading up to Earth Day learning about insects, plants, ecology and making art from recycled materials. For Earth Day, our school gathered in the courtyard and released 9000 ladybugs into the environment. This month we are busy supporting our school age students as they prepare to wrap up the academic school year. As part of our school age curriculum, our students are working together to get their classroom ready for summer camp. Planning for activities as a team helps school age children develop independence and leadership skills. Feel free to stop by our school age room and say hello!
Our Mother’s Day event will take place on Friday, May 11th from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Plan to stay a little longer and enjoy muffins and juice with your child at drop off. All mothers, grandmothers and special parent figures are welcome!
With the weather getting warmer, please send a labeled water bottle and sunscreen to school with your child if you’ve not already done so. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Kara
