From the Desk of The Principal:
In like a Lion and out like a Lamb. We are still waiting for the out part! What wonderfully busy, and adventurous month we have had. We enjoyed focused on Community helpers and creating an environment in the classes that the children could experience a real world activity. We created Flower Shops, Grocery Stores, Pet Stores, Recycling Centers and even an actual clothes line for children to hang the dramatic play clothes. The experience was so neat to watch as each of the children shared where they shop or what animals they have at home.
We then geared up for or Week of the Young Child and celebrated the children all week. We made various activities daily with the children and even added special snacks. Since our week ended with the release of 4500 Lady bugs to celebrate Earth day, we made colorful bug treats and began the process of Caterpillar to Butterflies discovery. We are waiting for this process, but released the Ladybugs to help keep our Earth healthy and clean.
We look forward to our flowers blooming and plants beginning to show their sprouts soon.
