Dear Parents,
The month of May is truly the busiest month of the school year at Chesterbrook Academy. Between Teacher Appreciation Week, Pre-K Graduation Fundraisers, Mother’s Day, Summer Camp planning, and our end of school year progress reports our days are full! We do our best to make sure parent communication is consistent and prompt, so please be sure to read any notices that are sent home, as well as postings in our school lobby. Feel free to inquire at the front desk if you have any questions.
Student transitions to the next level will take place on June 5th after our VPK/Pre-K students graduate. You will be notified shortly, so you are able to prepare your child for what lies ahead.
Our Pre-K graduation ceremony will be held at the Marriott Hotel on Friday, June 1st at 10:00am. Specific details will be sent home and are also posted in the front lobby. You are welcome to invite family and friends to join the celebration. Our Pre-K students have been practicing daily for their special day, and can’t wait to take center stage! Cap & Gown orders are in, please stop by the front desk for pick-up.
Pre-K graduation fundraisers begin on Friday, May 4th! The schedule is posted below. Your participation is very much appreciated and all proceeds will go towards graduation supplies and special treats for our graduates. You are more than welcome to send in cash if you want your child to purchase something during the school day for snack time. Please speak to the teacher for details.
Learning does not end at Chesterbrook Academy for our Pre-K students just because they have graduated. Links to Learning is designed to grow with children throughout the summer. Our Kindergarten Kick-Off curriculum challenges students entering Kindergarten in the fall, helping them to strengthen the skills necessary for a successful transition to elementary. Additional information on our Kindergarten Kick-Off curriculum goals is available NOW!
Elementary & Preschool camp is planned and summer packets are available! This year’s summer will be like no other. Our theme for school-age camp is “Make your Mark” and “On your Way” for our preschoolers. Check out our summer display table for more information. Please register soon, space for elementary age camp is limited this summer.
