From the Office of the Principal
Dear Parents,
We welcome to all the new families who have joined our school community since the new year, and we give a special welcome to our families who transferred from the Chesterbrook Academy on South Point Boulevard! We appreciate that you have chosen Chesterbrook Academy for your child’s early education and we welcome you all to the Chesterbrook Academy family.
We hope everyone had a great January! It was quite the busy month. Chesterbrook Academy was closed on Monday, January 1 in observance of New Years Day. The new Soccer Shots winter season started on Wednesday, January 31, and we have the biggest Soccer Shots class the school has ever seen! If you are interested in signing up your child, there are enrollment forms in the lobby. We started our new program, Go for Fit Kids, and it is a huge success! There are still plenty of spots available though, so if you would like to sign up, complete a form in the lobby. On Saturday, January 20, Chesterbrook Academy held an Open House from 10 am to 1 pm for all prospective parents. Please keep in mind that through our Parent Referral Program, you can receive one FREE week of tuition if you refer someone to Chesterbrook Academy on Providence Rd West. Thank you to everyone who participated in our Little Caesars Pizza Kit Event. Together we raised over $500 that will go directly to buying supplies for our school.
We look forward to February as well. Groundhog Day was Friday, February 2, and the children learned all about the how the groundhog peeks out from his hole to determine if winter will continue. The groundhog did see his shadow, which means there will be 6 more weeks of winter! Wednesday, February 14 marks Valentine’s Day, and we will have many class parties during that week. Please remember that on Monday, February 19 (President’s Day), Chesterbrook Academy will be closed for our bi-annual Professional Development Day. Since February is Dental Health Month, we will have someone from a local pediatric dentistry coming out later in the month to talk with the children about brushing their teeth, flossing, and general dental health. Please be on the lookout for times, dates, and more details. Finally, Links to Learning folders go home on Wednesday, February 28.
As always, we will always be here to help you in any way possible if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
William Gordon, Principal
