It’s October! Wow!
We have a busy month once again and are looking forward to the Trunk or Treat Event at the end of the month. I have heard several children share their aspirations as to what they will be dressing up as for the event. So many exciting costumes and great imaginary friends will be on display here at our school for the event.
We had our first PTO meeting in September and the next one will be occurring on Tuesday October 10, 2017. We would love to have more support. This group is not only for the direct benefit of the children, but one of the ultimate goals in mind is how we can assist parents in forming a more community feel here at Chesterbrook Academy. Parent partnerships in the classrooms are a great attribute, not just to the staff, but to other parents in the room as well. A survey was sent home asking for your input, we would love to hear from you. If you did not receive it, please access this link: https://goo.gl/forms/EMFjEBMBNE0GYpkx1
From October 22-27th I will be attending the annual Principal Conference. Within this month several of the classrooms will be talking about community helpers. I know some classrooms have reached out to have police officers come visit their classroom. We also will be having a visit for Fire Prevention from the local Fire Company. Please be aware of this, as we do not want anyone to be “shocked” if they go by the school or come into the school and see emergency vehicles on the property.
I am very pleased to announce that after last year’s OVERWHELMING response to our Holiday Show we have found a location that will be able to comfortably host 800 plus people. The event will take place on December 15, 2017 at the Spring Ford 9th Grade Learning Center, located at 400 South Lewis Road, Royersford PA. More information will come in the future.
Have a great month of October and we hope to see you all here on October 31st for the Trunk or Treat Event.
