First we would like to say a great big thank you to all of our families and friends that supported our very first Maddie’s Tea Party event in order to raise funds for the UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in honor of the late Sandra Waddington, Madison’s mother passed last year due to Sarcoma Cancer. We miss you Sandra and are so happy that Madison continues to grow and flourish here at Chesterbrook Academy in Cooper City, Florida.
From the Principal’s Desk…
I am so excited for the fall season and all of our annual events that bring our parents and children together. We look forward to our yearly pumpkin patch, our VPK field trip to Flamingo Nursery, our School-wide pumpkin decorating contest, Jumpstart Read for the Record, Child Health month and Fire Prevention week and our annual Trunk or Treat and Character Parade at the end of the month.
Due to Hurricane Irma we had to reschedule a few of our academic events, including Curriculum Night for our Intermediate and Pre-K students. So please pay close attention to our calendar of events below for rescheduled event information.
We are also introducing our children to Hispanic Heritage in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month as each class, on an age-appropriate level host visitors, bring in musical instruments, and read literature in Spanish to our children. Friday September 29, 2017 our entire enrichment program will participate in a festival filled with Hispanic culture. We invite you to join us anytime in the near future to tour our school, participate in one of our events, or learn more about how we prepare children for Kindergarten and the world.

Principal’s Vision:
My vision for my school, my enrolled children and families and teachers is to experience early childhood education on an infinite level of opportunities. I want every teacher to feel fully part of the process and I want them to introduce their children not only to our accreditation enriched curriculum but the things that their most passionate about. For my currently enrolled families I want them to feel connected. Fully connected to their child’s school through consistent communication, a variety of activities and events to build their relationship with their child, the school community and teachers. For the children that parents entrust us with, I want them to explore and build the joy of learning. I want them to laugh…out loud and feel love, nurture and care. I want to build their self esteem, give them confidence that all things are possible if you believe and to expose them to so many different concepts, skills and languages that sparks their interest and opens a new pathway to developing who they are as a student, a citizen of the world and a human being. I want them to be kind, disciplined and free spirited and I want them to make connections every day to the outside world. I want them to be themselves and know that being your authentic self makes you amazing!
