Dear Chesterbrook Families,

Here we are at the start of a new school year and we couldn’t be more excited! This has always been one of my favorite times of the year with the weather cooling down, the leaves changing and the start of the new year. The idea of a new classroom, with a fresh start and new school supplies is always exciting! We are welcoming back old friends who were out for the summer and welcoming our new friends who are joining us for the start of the school year. Our students spent the last few weeks getting to know their new teachers and exploring their new classrooms. Now we are in full force with back-to-school and everyone is having a wonderful first day!

We knew Miss Maggie was only here with us temporarily but it is hard to believe that she will be leaving us on Friday, September 9th…sooner than anticipated. She is going to move to our Newtown Square school to spread her magic, hard work and love to the staff, students and families there. We wish her luck and I am sure we will see her in the future as she assists in each of our schools.

We are excited to have Miss Sarah returning on Monday September 11 to resume her position as Assistant Principal! I know this will be a seamless transition and Sarah will pick up right where Maggie left off!

Here are some important dates for the month of September:

Tuesday Sept. 5- First Day of School

Wednesday Sept. 6- Open House 12-2pm

Friday Sept. 8- Maggie’s Last Day

Monday Sept. 11- Grandparent’s Snack at 9:30am and Miss Sarah returns

Thursday Sept. 14- Open House 10am-12pm and Back-to-School Night 6:15-7:30 (**Stay tuned for specific times**)

Monday Sept. 18- Picture Day

Tuesday Sept. 19- Open House 3-5pm

Friday Sept. 22- Pajama Day
