While traveling with your preschooler, you’ve probably heard him say, “Are we there yet?” or “How much longer?” more times than you can count. Being stuck in the car or on a flight might not seem like the most stimulating activity, but it is possible to engage your child’s mind and[.....]

Welcome to the month of July! We sure are having a blast here at summer camp. The pool has been a great relief from the hot days and the amount of accolades we are hearing from parents about the swim lessons is totally amazing! As summer camp is in full swing, it is now the time of year we traditionally start focusing on our Fall. As managers we try to always be a few months ahead. We will be doing a tra
nsition in the month of August (last two weeks) for children who will be moving to their new rooms. We will disseminate paperwork in your child’s mailbox in the month of August.
As a parent – if you would like to participate in a fieldtrip, please remember you need the required background checks to participate with your child. If you would like more information please feel free to send me an e-mail or inquire at the front desk.
I feel that each season I am asking parents to shut off their cars during drop off and pick up times. Please we know it is hot outside and you would like to leave your car air conditioner running while you enter the building. However, this is very dangerous to our students. Please turn off your car while it is unattended.
Also, the parking lot speed limit is posted! Please follow it! We walk our swimmers around the perimeter of the parking lot behind the fence to get to the pool, however, occasionally parents will walk their child across the parking lot to get to and from the pool. We ask that you please slow down and adhere to the 10 mph – speed limit.
We are sorry that we have had to make several adjustments to our menu due to the oven being broken. I had confirmation that the new oven is on its way. We will be contacting the installer as soon as it arrives and hopefully we will be up and running again within the first two weeks of July.
I hope you are all enjoying your summer fun in the sun! Thank you for all the well wishes as I returned to school from my medical leave. I would have never thought that my recovery would have taken a few extra weeks. I am back to my normal schedule and looking forward to diving back into the daily activities here at school, and possibly going on a field trip or two.
Have a great 4th of July!
Sincerely,
Donna Baus
