Summer is well underway and we are having a blast at Chesterbrook Academy in Exton! Students are enjoying a summer of sensory experiences, with cooking projects every Monday and science explorations every Friday. Throughout the month of July, students will make red, white and blue parfaits, “Solar S’mores,” a healthy bug snack, rainbow milk toast and build a construction snack! Our little scientists will explore the reaction of baking soda and vinegar, create dirt playdough, go on a dinosaur bone dig and participate in seed planting!
Throughout the first couple of weeks of July, we will be raising money for the Special Olympics. Students will learn the great feeling you get when you help someone in need by having a lemonade stand, selling chocolate covered pretzels and raffling off tickets to the zoo! All proceeds from these events will go towards the Special Olympics. The money we raise will join the monies raised by other surrounding Chesterbrooks. On July 19th, at our Special Olympics field day, a giant check will be presented to representatives joining us from the special olmpics!
Our visitors for the month of July will be:
July 11th – Magic by Stuart
July 18th – Judy Tudy the Mommy Clown
July 25th – What Knott Farm Petting Zoo
Our Travel campers field trip schedule:
July 13th – Elmwood Park Zoo
July 19th– Chesterbrook Elementary Special Olympics Field Day
July 26th – Ashland Nature Center
