May is here!  The school year is winding down.  We’ve been very busy!

We had lots of fun during our  ladybug release:

We also had fun creating our Fairy Garden!  Special thanks to all who contributed.  It looks fabulous!!!

May will be a busy month as well.  We are celebrating our Teachers! We are celebrating our Moms!  We will watch caterpillars become butterflies!  We will support St. Jude’s during our annual Trike a thon.  Whew!

As we have warmer weather, please be sure we have sunblock for your child.  We enjoy the outdoors- there is much we can learn from exploring and playing, but we want to be sure everyone is protected from the sun.

Here are some of our fun things we have planned for the month of May:

• 1st: It’s Teacher Appreciation Week – We will have different treats for the teachers throughout the week
• 1st: May Day
• 4th: Stars Wars Day- May the fourth be with you!
• 8th-12th- St. Jude Trike-a-thon week.
• 9th: National Family Week – Bring in a family picture to share
• 10th: Bike Day – Bring in a Bike/Trike/Scooter
• 12th: We will celebrate our Moms with a Mother’s Day Spa
• 14th: Happy Mother’s Day
• 16th: Hat Day
• 17th: It’s National Transportation Week – Bring in a form of transportation to share
• 19th: Nascar Day – Bring in or wear something Nascar
• 23rd: World Turtle Day
• 25th: Eat More Fruits and Vegetables Day – Bring a favorite fruit and we will make a fruit salad
• 26th: Ramadan begins at Sundown
• 26th: We will enjoy a picnic lunch outside
• 29th: Happy Memorial Day – Chesterbrook is Closed
• 30th: Shavout

Reminders

• Please be sure to wash your child’s hands upon entry into the classroom.  We want to do our best to keep germs at bay!
• Please be sure all schedule changes have been approved by the office.
• Please sign your child in prior to taking them to the classroom and sign them out after you pick them up from their classroom.
  
• Please do not leave your vehicles running while you are inside the building.
