From the Office of the Principal
It’s hard to believe it’s already April because 2017 is flying by! We hope everyone has enjoyed the spring weather when it has been around. March has come and gone, but let’s take a look back at the exciting things that happened during the month. Sunday, March 12 marked the beginning of Daylight Savings Time. Friday, March 17 was St. Patrick’s Day and Monday, March 20 was the first day of Spring. On Tuesday, March 21 and Wednesday, March 22, we had Lifetouch Preschool Portraits here to take pictures! Our graduates who will be going to Kindergarten in the fall took cap and gown pictures! We will be held an Open House for all prospective families on Saturday, March 25 from 10 am to 1 pm. During the last week of the month, we raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and we ended the week with PJ Day on Friday, March 31. We were able to raise $400 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of NC! Great job! Also, on the night of Friday, March 31, we held a Parents Night Out event from 6:30 pm to 9 pm and had a great turnout! The children who attended got to watch a movie, have some pizza, and play with Ms. Rachel and Ms. Shay all night long!
April will be a busy month as well! We will have Spring Break Camp for our school-agers, and they will go on field trips to Stallings Park, Sports Connection, and Farley’s Pizza! On Friday, April 21, we will have our Annual Ladybug Release at 3:30 pm! We will be releasing 3,000 ladybugs into nature, and families are invited to attend! During the week of April 24-28, we will be celebrating the Week of the Young Child. We will have plenty of fun activities throughout the week, including Music Monday with Mr. Nigel, Tasty Tuesday, where we will make different dishes from countries around the world, Work-Together Wednesday for a STEM activity, Artsy Thursday, where we will do art projects in the style of famous artists, and D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read!) Mystery Readers on Friday! Finally, on Friday, April 28, Links to Learning folders will go home.
As always, we will always be here to help you in any way possible if you have any questions or concerns.
Kindest Regards,
William Gordon, Principal

Chesterbrook Academy Parent Referral Program
If there’s one thing parents love to do, it’s talk about their children’s successes. When friends ask you about your child’s experiences at Chesterbrook Academy, what type of success stories do you share? Do you mention the personal and educational discoveries your child is making thanks to our advanced curriculum? Do you talk about the new levels of self and social confidence your child has gained thanks to our encouraging atmosphere? Whatever glowing reports you deliver about how your child is growing with his or her education, we couldn’t be more appreciative. In fact, we’d like to show you just how thankful we are for your endorsements.
For every new child you refer who enrolls at our school for three months, you’ll receive one FREE week of tuition for your child.
It’s our way of saying thanks for doing what comes naturally – singing the praises of your child and sharing your experiences with the Chesterbrook Academy difference. If you have any questions about how you can participate in our Parent Referral Program, please contact an administrator.
