Happy New Year!
Dear Chesterbrook Families,
I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season filled with laughter, joy, and some much needed relaxation time! With a new year comes new beginnings and adventures. We have quite a few students who will be transitioning to their next classroom so your children will be introduced to new peers whom they can begin creating memories with. To our families going through transitions, I know there can be many questions or hesitations about your little ones growing up. It is our responsibility to ease the transition for parents just as much as for our students. Please feel free to stop by your child’s new classroom and meet the teachers.
This month we have selected Mrs. Tina Schiattareggia as our Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Tina has been working with Chesterbrook for over 8 
years. She loves working with children and watching them learn and grow. Mrs. Tina is married with 3 children. She also has 2 granddaughters and 4 grandsons.
Its time for FUNDRAISERS! This month begins our Cherrydale Fundraiser. This fundraiser runs from Friday, January 13th until Monday, January 23rd. Catalogues will be distributed on Thursday, January 12th.
Ancillary programs have resumed for the year. Tae Kwon Do will start January 11th and Soccer Shots on January 16th. These are both 8 week sessions. If you would like to register please grab a form from the front desk.
Want an extra vacation week? Don’t forget about our Parent Referral Program! Our school will be participating in the Lake Ridge Moms Club Preschool Open House on Saturday, January 14tth from 1-3pm. We will also host our Open House on Saturday, January 21st from 10am-1pm. These are great opportunities to refer families to Chesterbrook.
With the expected weather changes during the winter months we want to make sure all families are aware of our Inclement Weather Policy. Chesterbrook Academy does not follow the government or public school system for school closures. All weather related decisions will be made no later than 5am the morning of. In addition to updating families through our Links2Home app we will also update our website and voicemail. Please make sure all of your information is updated so that you can receive this and other important communication. If you need to update your information please stop by the office.

- January 13th: National Hat Day. Wear your favorite hat to school and show your friends
- January 13th: Cherrydale fundraiser kicks off
- January 14th: LRMC Preschool Open House 1pm-3pm. Location: Chinn Library
- January 16th: MLK Day, CBA is OPEN. Drop in school-age care is available
- January 17th: Pajama Day
- January 20th: Inauguration Day, CBA is OPEN. Drop in school-age care is available
- January 21st: CBA Open House 10am-1pm
- January 23rd: National Reading Day. Bring a favorite story to share with your class
- January 27th: National Preschool Fitness Day. Get ready to exercise
- January 30th: PWCPS are CLOSED. Drop in school-age care is available
- Chesterbrook Academy Presents: Sensory Extravaganza! February Parents Night Out: Friday, February 24th 630pm-9pm
