From The Desk of The Principal
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!! We are so excited for all of the upcoming events here this month! December is a time of traditions, celebrations, and for spending time with family and friends. Throughout the month students will be learning about all the holiday symbols, what a tradition is and sharing their own traditions with their classmates. Students will enjoy learning about the meaning of the holidays and we will continue to embrace the concept of giving through our Holiday Adopt a Family program. Children are encouraged to share an item for the Holiday with a family that is less fortunate.
We are asking that our families share pictures of their Holiday traditions and we will have our New Year tree in the main lobby. This adds excitement for the children as they have an item to share with their school, and is a nice way to cap off the Holiday season. We will continue to go outdoors as long as the weather permits so please make sure that your child is in appropriate outerwear daily.
As the weather changes stay alert for any changes to our schedule here at school. As always you can access the information on school delays or closings on Channel 6 and 10 as well as the school voicemail and website.
From our Chesterbrook family to yours we wish you a Happy Holiday and a bright New Year!
Important dates to keep in mind for the month of December:
