Dear Parents,
Now that the holiday season has arrived, many of us will take the time to visit with family and friends or reconnect with important people in our lives. This type of personal connection is an important part of our school’s philosophy and continues to flourish through our many school events. Meaningful connections between teachers and parents guarantee academic, social, and emotional growth of each of our students. Your participation in our school activities has been amazing! Thank you for your support and ongoing commitment to our Chesterbrook Academy community.
Thank you for your generous donations towards our food drive! The Treasure Coast Food Bank was impressed that we collected 601 pounds of food and was very grateful for our support! YOU ROCK!
‘Tis the season to explore December celebrations, observances, and activities from many cultures. What is another name for St. Nicholas? What is a Menorah? What is a Karamu? The answers to these questions will be highlighted in December lessons that will cover multi-cultural holiday traditions. Be sure to check out classroom education boards in and outside of your child’s classroom to see evidence of learning fun! Speak to your child’s teacher if you would like to share a special tradition from your family with the class.
We are very proud to be a school with a clear vision and mission, dedicated to continuous improvement. The AdvancED Institution External Accreditation Team will visit our school on Monday, 12/5 & Tuesday, 12/6. We welcome this esteemed evaluation team of educational professionals and look forward to their assessment of our program as well as advice, to help us with continued growth in the care and instruction we provide. You will see the AdvancED team in the school these two days, observing our program.
What does obtaining AdvancED National Accreditation status mean to you?
Children who receive high-quality early childhood education are better prepared to succeed in elementary and secondary classrooms.
Those children who actively engage in early learning programs:
are more social,
earn better grades,
require less or need no special education instruction later in school,
improve their attention spans,
are more likely to graduate from high school and attend college,
exhibit fewer behavioral problems and
are less likely to become involved with crime in later years.
But more importantly, these children are better positioned for long term success.
You can be assured that early learning schools awarded AdvanceED Accreditation not only meet educational standards, but also provide the safe, encouraging and nurturing environment so critical to the development of young children. *
