From the Office of the Principal
It’s already November, but the warmer weather makes it feel like we’re still in September and October! November will be quite the busy month, but October was just as busy. We held our Yankee Candle Fundraising Event, and the funds raised went directly to help our school! We were open for a full day for our CMS school-agers on Monday, October 3 and October 31, and we were open for a full day for our SC school agers on Monday, October 10. We held our Fall Festival on Friday, October 21, and it was a huge success! We’re pretty sure everyone, parents and children alike, had a great time playing games, winning prizes, and enjoying dinner and refreshments. Thank you to all the parents who attended the Fall Festival! The Fall Festival will become a tradition here at Chesterbrook Academy, and it will only continue to get bigger and better! Please be sure to check out our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/chesterbrookacademy for pics of our Fall Festival! Finally, Links to Learning folders went out on the last day of the month on October 31.
We have so many events in November as well. This Saturday, November 5, we will hold an Open House for our prospective families from 10 am to 1 pm. Please keep in mind that through our Parent Referral Program, you can receive one FREE week of tuition if you refer someone to Chesterbrook Academy on Providence Rd W, so please let any friends looking for a quality preschool program to stop by on Saturday! With Veteran’s Day coming up on Friday, November 11, Chesterbrook Academy will be closed due to our Professional Development Day. This will be a day where our teachers will be improving their teaching skills through a series of trainings, speeches, and workshops as well as partnering with Chesterbrook teachers from around the Charlotte area. We will open back up on Monday, November 14 at the normal time. We will have a Parent Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thursday, November 17. Parents will be able to visit with their children in their classroom, talk with fellow parents, and have a Thanksgiving feast! We will provide turkey, gravy, vegetables, and mashed potatoes for everyone. All we ask is that if you are attending, please bring in a Thanksgiving dish or dessert for everyone to enjoy. We will have more details to come, including what times the luncheon will be held, and whether to bring in a side dish or dessert, depending on your child’s classroom. Sign-up sheets for side dishes and desserts will be posted at the front desk soon. Chesterbrook Academy will be closed for Thanksgiving as well as the day after, November 24 and 25. We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday, and we will open back up at the normal time on Monday, November 28. Finally, Links to Learning folders will be going out on Wednesday, November 30.
As always, we will always be here to help you in any way possible if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you!
Kindest Regards,
William Gordon, Principal

Chesterbrook Academy Parent Referral Program
If there’s one thing parents love to do, it’s talk about their children’s successes. When friends ask you about your
child’s experiences at Chesterbrook Academy, what type of success stories do you share? Do you mention the personal and educational discoveries your child is making thanks to our advanced curriculum? Do you talk about the new levels of self and social confidence your child has gained thanks to our encouraging atmosphere? Whatever glowing reports you deliver about how your child is growing with his or her education, we couldn’t be more appreciative. In fact, we’d like to show you just how thankful we are for your endorsements. Now when you tell other parents about our school, you can become a Chesterbrook Academy Ambassador.
For every new child you refer who enrolls at our school for three months, you’ll receive an Ambassador Certificate for one FREE week of tuition for your child.
It’s our way of saying thanks for doing what comes naturally – singing the praises of your child and sharing your experiences with the Chesterbrook Academy difference. At the front desk are referral certificates you can give to friends and colleagues who ask about our school. If you have any questions about how you can become a Chesterbrook Academy Ambassador, please contact an administrator.
