There’s something about the month of March that is fresh and rejuvenating. With flowers in bloom and warm weather on the horizon, what’s not to love about this time of year? Spring hasn’t sprung just yet, but it’s just around the corner. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to trade the dread of scraping ice off of my windshield for the bliss of driving to work to the melody of birds chirping!
Speaking of birds, don’t forget to be an early bird with our Priority Registration special is happening now! Pre-register your child for the 2016-2017 school year by March 11th and receive 50% off of your child’s annual registration fee! That’s just $45.00 for the first child and $32.50 for each additional sibling. This is an exclusive limited time offer just for our currently enrolled families, with savings you’ll see right away. Click here to download the Priority Registration form to get started today!
Click here to download a printable copy of this month’s Lunch & Events Calendars. Hard copies are also available at the front desk. Please check the whiteboard in the front lobby for a heads up when a spirit day is approaching. Don’t forget that up-to-date information is also available via our school website at any time.
– WACKY WEDNESDAY – Wednesday, March 2nd – It’s Dr. Suess’ birthday week, and we absolutely had to celebrate in the silliest of ways! Show off your wildest and craziest outfit in honor of Dr. Suess’ classic tale, Wacky Wednesday.
– PARENT REPORTS DISTRIBUTED – Friday, March 11th – Second period Parent Reports are here! Check your child’s cubby at pick-up to receive this detailed report on his or her progress in the classroom. As a reminder, you are welcome to contact me at any time if you would like to schedule a conference with your child’s teacher.
– ST. PATRICK’S DAY – Thursday, March 17th – Good luck is all around! We’re celebrating our Irish spirit with special St. Patty’s day festivities in each of our classrooms. Dress up in lots of green and silly shamrock gear. Perhaps all of our green attire will attract a little leprechaun!
– LIFETOUCH SPRING PICTURE DAYS – March 23rd & 24th – Our photographer friends from Lifetouch will be here all morning to take spring-themed photos of our students. Everyone should plan to come dressed to impress! Please note that photo sessions for Beginner B, Intermediates, Pre-K, and Kindergarten will take place on Wednesday. Photo sessions for Infants, Toddlers, and Beginner A will take place on Thursday. More information to come.
– EASTER EGG HUNT – Friday, March 25th – Everyone’s getting excited for the arrival of the Easter Bunny! Rumor has it he will be leaving some of his treat-filled eggs all around the school. The children will search for the eggs in the classroom and in the park, counting and identifying the colors as they go. Do you think we can find them all?
– KINDERGARTEN SPRING BREAK – Week of March 28th – Our Kindergarten students will give their growing minds a break and enjoy a week off from their academic program. The Kindergarten program will resume on Monday, April 4th. Please note that Spring Break care will be available for all Kindergarten students during normal business hours.
As always, please reach out with any questions, comments, suggestions, or concerns. Thank you for your ongoing support of Chesterbrook Academy of Philadelphia!
Kind regards,
