Dear Chesterbrook Families,
First and foremost, a great big CBA !!!Thank You!!! to all of our families that donated treats and/or time for our Trunk or Treat event ! This is always such a favorite time for our students, and we appreciate your willingness to make this year’s fun extra special.
The holidays are quickly approaching, and this season marks a very busy and fun time at CBA!
First up will be our Fall Scholastic Book Fair – our book fairs are always very popular, and we appreciate all of your support in this area. A successful book fair translates directly into books and materials for our classrooms – and we look forward to yet another influx of Scholastic materials to enhance your child’s learning environment.
A reminder that CBA is closed to students on Wednesday, November 11th – Veterans Day. Although students do not attend school on this day – we all do. Our entire staff and faculty will participate in a full day of professional development. These days at “teacher school” are always invigorating for our staff, who return to their classrooms recharged and excitedly full of new ideas to bring to their students. Stay tuned for what’s in store…we’re looking forward to growing as educators to bring our very best to your children.
Parent Reports and Parent/Teacher Conferences also take place this month. Watch your classroom communication board for sign up information – and take advantage of the flexible scheduling options we have lined up, as well as keep in mind that a conference can be in-person or via telephone. Conferences are intended to couple with Parent Reports to bring you up to date and comprehensive information detailing your child’s growth, development and academic process.
On Friday, November 20th, we will be hosting our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon. Again, please watch our communication boards for sign up information. This family event is an annual tradition here at CBA, and our students have already begun to prepare and look forward to it. We hope you can join us for a day of giving thanks.
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, please note the following changes to our normal operating schedule:
Thursday, November 26th – CBA is CLOSED
Friday, November 27th – Limited hours (time frame TBD) and advance registration is required. Sign-ups coming soon!
A gentle reminder that as the cooler weather approaches, now is the time to swap out summer cubby clothes for winter cubby clothes and to remember to send in all appropriate outerwear your children may need. We DO go outside for recess even in cooler weather.
And as always, if you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Your feedback is always welcome, and we look forward to a fun and productive month here at CBA!
Kind Regards,
Ms. Rebecca
