Notes from the Principal:
Dear Chesterbrook Families,
Summertime is here – the pool is open, Field trips have begun and the Chesterbrook Academy‘s Passport to Adventure is well under way! We are making new friends, reuniting with old friends, and making new discoveries along the wayJ
Throughout the summer, the fun continues and so does our learning! To reinforce skills learned during the school year and keep our minds active, our Links to Learning Curriculum continues through July and August. The weekly skills are designed to review what was learned throughout the year as well as introduce new skills that will prepare those students who will be moving to a new classroom in the fall. You’ll be able to find all of the same information you have seen throughout the school year on the parent board located outside each classroom. Don’t forget to read about your child’s exciting day posted outside the classroom.
Our Buddy Program with our School-Age Campers and Preschool children is back again this summer. Each week our School-Age Campers partner with younger children to share activities. This program is a great opportunity for our older campers to learn leadership skills and help a younger child. All of our children are enjoying these activities!
Remember to check our camp calendars for dates and times of all trips and special events planned for the summer!
As always, it is an honor to work with and watch your children grow. Thank you for choosing our Programs for your children!
Have safe and happy 4th of July!
Sincerely,
Lisa Delaney
For Families:
Summer is here and with it comes Summer Vacations. If you are planning on using your Vacation Credit please remember:
- Credits must be requested 2 weeks prior to your vacation.
- You only receive one credit per year (July – June)!
- You must be enrolled year round and for six months prior to being eligible for this credit.
Interested in a Free Week of Tuition?
Did you know if you refer a family to us, upon enrollment and after three month, you will receive a free week’s tuition or discounted tuition!
Summertime Fun:
We are so fortunate to have so many resources at our fingertips. Here are some links I thought would interest our Chesterbrook Families.
If you come across a website that you find beneficial, share it with me and I will pass it on.

Water Safety:
Pools and beaches are a great way to cool off and have fun with your children this summer. Here are some helpful ideas to keep your child safe around water:
- Never leave your children alone in or near the pool, even for a moment.
- Do not use air-filled “swimming aids” as a substitute for approved life vests.
- Remove all toys from the pool after use so children aren’t tempted to reach for them.
- Practice ‘touch’ supervision with children younger than 5 years. This means that the adult is within an arm’s length of the child at all times.
